Lord Jesus Christ,
you are steady when my heart is not.
When I feel distance and begin to grasp,
slow me down.
Help me to see what is true,
not what fear is telling me.
Teach me to rest in your presence,
to trust that I am held,
and to receive love as it is given,
not as I demand it to be.
Free me from clinging.
Ground me in your grace.
And let me love with peace,
not fear.
